Responsible for implementing and upholding Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the facility to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Company Policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Implement and monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety by providing leadership and training programs to employees. • Develop, plan, and coordinate all record-keeping, reporting, and training for all company, state and federal health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements. • Lead the facility to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Company Policies in EHS areas including all recordkeeping. • Conduct and lead Safety Committee Meetings. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of Safety Inspections, Safety Observations, and Task Forces. • Administer and monitor the facility wide safety program and recommend methods to ensure employee participation and the implementation of a successful Safety Culture. • Implement established Process Safety Management program. • Manage the worker’s compensation program. • Implement, monitor, and enhance Injury and Illness Prevention Program. • Manage the Incident Investigation Program and ensure that all safety work orders, and safety improvements are being addressed and completed per required deadlines. • Lead and maintain environmental regulatory programs, facility’s permits and other local, state, and federal environmental requirements. • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times. • Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising the maintenance staff. The maintenance manager effectively works with the Plant Manager in partnership with other departments and teams to coordinate and discuss plans to maximize plant performance. In addition, this position is in charge of coordinating and supporting the plant maintenance personnel, and contractors to achieve safe, efficient completion of the workload. Accountable for developing preventative and proactive maintenance schedules for process equipment and effective plant shutdowns.

Purchase cash corn and natural gas at a level that produces positive margins, originate bushels from draw territory while expanding our territory. Price finished goods (Ethanol, DDGS, Corn Oil, Corn Syrup) at profitable levels. Manage logistics and actual flow of grain thru assets to ensure continuous availability of product to meet production needs. Manage logistics and actual flow of ethanol, corn oil, wet, and dry distillers grain to ensure customers’ needs are being met and inventory levels do not exceed their storage space. Establish and maintain strong customer relations with our marketers, farmers and grain haulers. Establish and maintain strong customer relations with cattle ranchers, feedlots, and feed brokers. Maintain strong communication and working relationships with our marketing partners for ethanol, corn oil and distillers’ grain. Recognize and manage price risk thru the use of hedging derivatives/flat price contracts and other risk management tools. Continuous learning of the grain, ethanol industry and new hedging alternatives. Supervision of Commodity Originator and Commodity Coordinator. Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. Maintain compliance with government agencies CFTC, SD PUC and USDA. Be able to present and communicate product pricing, procurement and risk abatement strategies to the Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors. Produce and review month-end reports in conjunction with the accounting team.
